40 is not many characters. (The preceding sentence was 26 characters.) But according to Jeff Bullas, posts around 40 characters received 86% higher engagement (likes and comments) than others. And if you can’t keep it that short, posts with 80 characters or less received 66% higher engagement. Evidently brevity is the soul of engagement.
